Recent Placements

Where the videos landed.

A selection of recent music videos Rive Video mastered, captioned, distributed, and pitched — and the networks that picked them up. Independent artists and major-label names sit side by side here, because the process behind them is identical.

The Work

Recent placements.

Each of these ran through the same pipeline: broadcast master, closed captions, submission package, then direct pitching to the programmers who decide what airs.

CH 02 · BEYOND BROADCAST

Beyond Broadcast

Not every placement is a TV logo.

Look at the FREEZEMACHINE slide above and you will see ClubCom, LA Fitness, and New York Sports Clubs sitting alongside MTV. That is the retail and DJ pool layer, and it is the half of music video distribution nobody talks about.

Retail and DJ/VJ pools are subscription services that supply music and music video programming everywhere commercial-free music plays — gyms and health clubs, shopping malls, restaurants and food courts, hotels, casinos, bowling alleys, cruise ships, college campuses, and nightclubs. Over 7,400 retail brands and locations in total.

A video in rotation across that network is playing to people who never chose to watch it, in rooms they are already standing in. No algorithm, no notification, no feed.
