Art vs Science
Art vs Science are one of Australia’s independent success stories. Since being unearthed by national broadcaster, triple j, in 2008, the band have gone on to be one of the country’s most popular and dynamic acts, selling out national tours and headlining festivals the country over.
The three-piece (who release everything through their own Magellanic imprint) have released two Platinum plus-selling EPs, had multiple entries in triple j’s Hottest 100 (including the #2 and #9 spots in 2009 and 2010 respectively), and scored multiple industry awards and nominations.
Their debut album The Experiment charted at #2 on the ARIA Chart on its release in 2011 and picked up an ARIA Award for Best Independent Album, as well as nominations for the J Award for Australian Album of the Year and much critical acclaim.
Praised by the likes of Earmilk, Vogue, This is Fake DIY, Huffington Post and Indie Shuffle, Art vs Science have appeared at many Australian and international festivals including Field Day, Splendour in The Grass and Falls Festival in Australia and Bonnaroo and Governors’ Ball amongst others in the U.S.
