Jane’s most recent rise to fame is not her first. Born and raised in Detroit, (Motown) Michigan, Jane’s musical background spans more than two decades. She changed her name and moved west to Tempe, Arizona, beginning her DJ/Promoter career with GrooveTribe and its founder Jas Tynan in 1997. Early career highlights include performing alongside artists like George Clinton and the P-Funk All Stars and opening for artists who have become today’s legends such as Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold, BT, and a long list of superstar talent that was then booked at Club FREEDOM for the hugely successful KIND event series in Tempe, Arizona.

Berlin 1999: The budding musical talent met with a stroke of luck and destiny when she was selected for one of only 60 coveted spots and as the first-ever North American to study at the internationally-acclaimed Red Bull Music Academy.

Jane toured the world as a DJ for the X Games sponsored by Red Bull and is forever thankful to Red Bull for a big break into the world of dance music. A chance meeting introduced Jane to Sheeva Records label owner and producer, music industry genius Costantino Padovano aka Funky Junction. Soon she also grabbed the attention of Radikal Records. Jane moved to Miami, but as her true passion is songwriting she decided to take a little time off from touring to settle into the industry and start recording her own music.

Jane Vanderbilt is currently managed and produced by Costantino Padovano with V.O.T.U. [Voice of the Underground] Productions, Miami. Jane is recording a new album Naked under Leather, writing new songs and performing live electronic shows and has honed titles in Miami as resident DJ at DV Club at The Setai Hotel and at the Hotel Astor, both on Miami’s South Beach. Also an enterprising entrepreneur and dedicated to constantly evolving as a musician, Jane spends any free time learning the industry rules of recording and production. She is building her team and hoping to eventually take the lead in Sheeva and V.O.T.U. management under Padovano’s apprentice.
